Katy Boot Camp Instructor

Katy Fitness Challenge is a locally owned fitness boot camp company.  Our focus is on high quality daily workouts designed for overall fitness and weight loss.  My name is Kris and I’m an instructor for this Katy Boot Camp company.

My experience in this particular field includes 9 years as a personal trainer, 5 years as a spin instructor, former elite level triathlete, avid runner, & boot camp junkie.  After training for many years and racing pro for a few years I then started a job where I traveled alot and I also ate and drank alot on an expense account.  Nothing gets your bum fat like living in hotels and eating off an expense account….  So, about 7+ years ago I went from pro condition to fat.  When I tried to get back into shape I was completely disinterested because I wasn’t fast any more and therefore the workouts just were not fun….  I couldn’t stay motivated.    Seriously – running isn’t fun at 1.0 miles per hour:)

I started and stopped getting back into shape several times starting about 2 years ago.  I ALMOST used running a few times to get back into shape b/c I actually enjoy the act of running – it just wasn’t enough in the end.  Finally I started boot camps and very quickly I gained the strength to increase my stamina in running and soon running became fun to me again.  My idea of ‘fun’ running includes track workouts or heavy speed work – needless to say this kind of running isn’t easy to get back into.  Boot camps also became the only method I needed in order to stay FULL BODY FIT.  Even triathletes are not full body fit like I mean it….  or like you can be~

Boot camps will include full body strength training – it will show your weaknesses – you’ll have to overcome them – and in the end you’ll be stronger absolutely everywhere!  It’s impossible to loaf through a boot camp workout.  Don’t get me wrong – Absolutely Anyone can be successful in boot camps because any exercise can be adapted for anyone no matter how fit or unfit.  But – it’s not uncommon for boot camp recruits to perform 0 ‘ZERO’ real situps during the intro test but upon 8 weeks they can many times do over 40.  Recruits often go from 3-8 pushups to 30-35!  Your entire body will become strong all over.  You will be awesome!  The part that’s really cool is that….  the class will even be a little fun~!  Anyhow, I’m now 45 lbs down and 20 lbs of muscle up and boot camps have been what I needed to get back here again.  This is the kind of fitness that I want to share with Katy Texas!

    Hi Kris,

I’m writing to inquire about whether a trial class is offered. If so, how would one go about setting one up? A response would be most appreciated. Please and thank you.

    Kris,

I would like to know if Katy Fitness offers a summer program. I am a teacher and I am pretty busy at this time of year, but I am definitely interested in pursuing this as soon as school is out.

  7. Megan Massey says:

Am I able to just pay for one month? Or is autopay required? I’m afraid I might forget if it ends up not working out for me. I’m looking at doing the morning class.

  8. Dami Quadry says:

When are the early am classes going to start again and is there any way i could get a free one week trial?

  9. Jen says:

This is Jennifer from class Monday evening. I’m feeling fine this morning, just a little stiff in the lower back.

    • Jen:
Glad to hear it!!! I always want peoples first day to go great and I always prefer them do less versus more so that on day 2 they still want to come back. Glad to hear your feeling good. We will talk about your lower back tonight at camp!
